Had a fascinating time working to create this audio walk for Sheffield Doc/Fest. A different experience for me. My contribution was very small, but very much enjoyed the chats that led to this happening.

We are extremely grateful to the Leverhulme Trust for funding an extension to our eggshell grant. And we’re thrilled that means postdoc Marie Attard will be with us for another 6 months.

Congratulations Baptiste Garde – new paper out today in Open Science about pigeon flight – you can read it here !
Having David spend a few days filming with our fish and eggshells certainly remains one of the highlights of my career. Here he is with My Flamenco, as featured in the series Natural Curiosities.

Thrilled that our paper titled “Climate variability and parent nesting strategies influence gas exchange across avian eggshells” has been accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B. A huge congratulations and thank you to postdoc Marie, and thanks to the Leverhulme for funding the work.

Was great to be able to meet up with half the lab for a social, for the first time in 8 months. Looking forward to the social with the other half, before hopefully in June all being able to get together.
