Had a fun (and very busy) week on Biotweeps. Covered a range of topics, including Siamese Fighting Fish, Eggshell Physiology and Colour, Avian Migration and Moult. The favourite topic I think was Avian Vision. Lots and lots of questions about that topic. Was excellent. The week has been storified, can can be found here:

Had a fantastic time at the ASAB winter meeting at ZSL. Great venue for a conference, and enjoyed visiting gorillas, pygmy hippo’s and slow loris during breaks. Was my first one, and will definitely be going again. Good to catch up with folk, and also meet a host of new people. Following the week on Biotweeps, has been a social and interactive fortnight.

Pleased to be presenting at the ASAB Winter Meeting on “Individuals in Groups”, to be held at ZSL. I’m talking about pigeons, and will be on the Thursday. More details can be found here!

Our paper has just come out in The Journal of Experimental Biology! The paper, “Nesting Behaviour Influences Species-specific Across Avian Eggshells” was also featured in the News and Views section, Inside JEB (you can read the article by clicking the link)!
